Payment Options

At our Richmond chiropractic office, payment is due at the time of care. We welcome both self-pay patients and insurance patients.

We are an out-of-network provider for many insurance plans, but your plan may still provide out-of-network benefits. As a courtesy, we can submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf.

If you would like an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost before beginning care, please contact our office—we’re happy to help.

Insurance

Our doctor is an out-of-network provider for the following plans:

• Medicaid
• Medicare
• Marketplace Plans
• Cigna Connect
• Sentara
• Kaiser Permanente
• Anthem HealthKeepers-HMO plans
• HMO Policies

Our doctor is an in-network provider for the following plans:

• Anthem PPO Policies
• Anthem POS Select Policies — These plans have the HealthKeepers POS logo on the insurance card. We are an in-network provider for some of them. Please contact our office to confirm your specific plan.
• Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Policies
• Cigna PPO Policies — Cigna Great West is considered out-of-network.
• Cigna Open Access and Open Access Plus — Most policies are considered in-network, but a small percentage are out-of-network. Please contact Cigna to verify your specific plan.
• UnitedHealthcare
• MultiPlan and PHCS

Please note that verification of benefits does not guarantee payment by your insurance company. Your insurance company determines coverage according to the terms of your individual policy.

Wellness/Maintenance

We provide wellness/maintenance chiropractic care for our patients who have reached that status of health and stability. Wellness care is supportive care given to maintain optimal health.

Wellness care costs range between $53-95 with the average cost of $77. Payment at the time of care is expected

Personal Injury/Motor Vehicle Accidents

Personal Injury and Motor Vehicle Accident cases are accepted in our office. Payment at the time of care is required for these cases.

• Option 1: Payment at the time of care is expected. As a courtesy, we can submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf. Please see above for a list of in-network and out-of-network companies.
• Option 2: If you do not have health insurance, we are able to provide you with a billing statement so you can submit your cost of care to your auto insurance company, if you have opted for Med-Pay coverage on your individual auto policy.
  Aligned Chiropractic will not bill your auto insurance company directly; however, you are able to submit your bills, if you choose to do so. Payment at the time of care is required if you choose to utilize this auto insurance benefit. Please see your individual policy or call your auto insurance company to determine if you opted for this coverage.

• Option 3: Self-Pay. Payment at the time of care is expected.

Worker's Compensation

There are many variables regarding Worker's Compensation and healthcare providers. Please contact your Worker’s Compensation company to find out how you should proceed.
